Cambridgeshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Uphards Lane, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-982

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Uphards Lane, Ely as lies between No.15 & B1411. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1411; West Fen Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/2/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/9 & 30/9/25.

Williams Close, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1523

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Williams Close, Ely as lies between No.57 & Lumley Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lumley Cl; Davison Rd; Lynn Rd; Williams Cl & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/9 & 19/9/25.

Ely Road B1411, Little Downham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1535

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ely Road B1411, Little Downham as lies between Nos.20 & 32. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1411; Lawn Ln; Black Bank Rd; A1101; A10; B1411 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 18/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 17/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:30hrs & 15:30hrs 18/9 to 23/9/25.

City Road, Littleport Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1537

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along City Road, Littleport as lies between Station Road & White Hart Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Wellington St C315; Granby St; Victoria St; White Hart Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunication connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 25/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:30hrs & 13:30hrs on 25/9/25.

Soham Byway 92, Soham Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-1546

Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian & equestrian from proceeding along Soham Byway 92, Soham as lies between Fordham Road & Skimmer Chase. The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians & equestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 29/9/25 & continue until these works have finished on the 28/3/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 29/9 & 3/10/25.

West Fen Road, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1549

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Fen Road, Ely as lies between Hurst Lane & West Fen Road, Witchford. The alternative route for vehicles is via West Fen Rd, Witchford; West End; Victoria Green; Main St; Long Ln; Wentworth Rd; Long Causeway; Long Causeway; A10 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on the 30/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 29/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 30/9 & 2/10/25.

Eye Hill Drove, Soham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1556

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Eye Hill Drove, Soham as lies between A142 & Barham Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A142; Barham Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 29/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 29/9 & 1/10/25.

Adventurers Drove, Little Downham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1572

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Adventurers Drove, Little Downham as lies between Beechwood & Short Drove. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate chamber repair & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 23/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 22/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23/9 & 25/9/25.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The Orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, or any member of the Armed Forces acting in the execution of their duties or to any person using that part of the road in accordance with the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
