Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 27 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in; (a) the entire length of Service Road for Properties 7 To 69 Egley Road (D3688) Woking; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Service Road for Properties 7 To 69 Egley Road (D3688) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Acacia Avenue; Hawthorn Road; Lilac Avenue, or this route in reverse. The Order is required to allow telegraph pole replacement/ installation works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Barr Engineering Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Wych Hill Lane (A247) Woking as extends from its access to the property known as “Alverstone Lodge to its junction with (X4012) Turnoak Avenue; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Wych Hill Lane (A247) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. This Order is required to facilitate a safe working zone for mains water connection works and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure. Alternative Route: (A247) Kingfield Road, (B380) Vicarage Road, (B380) Westfield Road, (B380) Guildford Road, and (A320) Egley Road, or this route in reverse.
