What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL Main Street / York Road (Fridaythorpe) and York Road (Bishop Wilton) (TEMPORARY 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed at a speed exceeding 20mph along Main Street / York Road (Fridaythorpe) and York Road (Bishop Wilton) between the junctions of Back Street (Fridaythorpe) and Fridaythorpe Road (Huggate) commencing 8 September 2025

19:00 hours. The speed restriction will be operative between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 The reason for the speed restriction is to enable safe passage of vehicles through works ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 12 September

05:00 hours. The Order will commence on 8 September 2025, and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
