What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC Swineridge Lane, Millington

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Swineridge Lane, Millington between the junctions of Givendale Hill and Church Lane commencing 15 September 2025

08:00 hours to " undertake test rod & ropework & install sub duct into existing fibre infrastructure" works in safety. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 September 2025

18:00 hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: The Balk, Givendale Hill and vice versa. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic, but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
