ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(HUNTER STREET, NORTHAMPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Hunter Street, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Hunter Street, Northampton from Hervey Street to Clare Street.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 8th September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 2 days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Hervey Street, Carey Street and Clare Street.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Brington Road, Lond Buckby as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Brington Road, Long Buckby from Skin Yard Lane to outside number 20 Brington Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during installation of new gas connection.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 8th September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Lower Farm Road, Northampton from Tenter Road to Redhouse Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 5th September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Brampton Lane, Pitsford/ Pitsford Road, Chapel Brampton as set out below.
LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Brampton Lane, Pitsford/Pitsford Road, Chapel Brampton from outside of Brampton Fisheries.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during vegetation clearance on structure.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 11th September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from waiting, loading and unloading at any time along that length of St Leonards Road, Northampton (southern side of carriageway only) as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of St Leonards Road, Northampton (southern side of carriageway only) – from Haines Road to the existing double yellow lines opposite Main Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during installation of HV connections.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 1st September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Trinity Avenue and Stanhope Road, Northampton from Balfour Road to Kingsley Road and Cranbrooke Road to Kingsley Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th August 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during structure investigation works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd July 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months.
