(Worthing: Central Avenue and Shepherds Mead)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily restriction the use of Shepherds Mead and Central Avenue in Worthing as follows:

To temporarily close the northern arm of the junction of Central Avenue with Long Meadow to southbound traffic; and

To temporarily close Shepherds Mead from between the northern and southern arms of its junction with Central Avenue. These restrictions are needed while a temporary compound for local gas main replacement works is in place.

The Order will come into effect on 26 August 2025 and remain in force until 5 May 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site.

Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Amberley and Houghton: B2139)

(30 MPH and 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to amend the speed limits on the B2139 as it passes through Amberley and Houghton as follows:

The extend the existing 30 MPH speed limit to the west of Houghton westwards by 50m from its current terminal point and to introduce a 40 MPH speed limit from the terminal point of the revised 30 MPH speed limit, westwards for 405m; and To extend the existing 30 MPH speed limit north of Amberley, northwards to a point 95m north of the access road to Amberley Castle.

(Angmering: A259)

(Temporary Prohibition of Right Turns) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit eastbound vehicles on the A259 in Angmering from making a right turn into the Rustington Retail Park.

The road closure is needed to maintain safety while the traffic signals at this junction are refurbished.

The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and remain in force until 24 October 025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site.

(Madehurst and Houghton: Madehurst Road)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Madehurst Road in the parishes of Madehurst and Houghton, from its northern junction with the A29, westwards for 1100m.

The road closure is needed to allow tree works and vegetation clearance to take pace in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 7 September 2025 and remain in force until 13 September 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Shoreham-By-Sea: Ravensbourne Avenue)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Ravensbourne Avenue in Shoreham-By-Sea from its junction with Cypress Close to its junction with Downside Close.

The road closure is needed to allow a damaged sewer to be repaired safely.

The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and remain in force until 19 September 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Angmering and Rustington: A259)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a 30 MPH speed limit on the A259 in the parishes of Angmering and Rustington, its junction with Station Road, westwards to its junction with Mill Lane.

The Order also temporarily prohibits eastbound vehicles on the A259 from making a right turn into the Rustington Retail Park. These restrictions are needed to allow the traffic lights at the junction of the A259 with Rustington Retail Park to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and remain in force until 24 October 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Worthing: Lyons Way)

(Prohibition of Driving) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from driving on Lyons Way in Worthing from the northern end of the road, southwards for 100m. This will have the effect of re-locating the current gate on Lyons Way, northwards by 70m.

(Seaview Road Amendment) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time (introduce double yellow lines) at the junction of Seaview Road with Bath Road in Worthing.

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Selden Road in Worthing from its junction with Brighton Road northwards for 5m and The Esplanade from its junction with Brighton Road southwards for 10m.

These restrictions are needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and remain in force until 26 September 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
