Footpath 110, Bredbury And Romiley - Temporary Closure For The Completion Of Works
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(FOOTPATH 110, BREDBURY AND ROMILEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Closure of Footpath 110, Bredbury and Romiley (known as Field Street) for 20m from its eastern end, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpath. This Order is necessary to allow for the completion of works to take place. It is estimated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. A diversion will be provided via; Thomas Street, Wild Street and connecting footways. This Order is to come into operation on 5 September 2025 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
