ORDER 2025
The above-named Order made by the Council on 19/2/2025, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 22/2/2025 has been continued in force from 22/8/25, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 31/3/2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on the following length of footpath. A 25 metre length of Public Footpath Number 29, Witton Gilbert Parish that extends northwards from 1.5 metres north of its junction with the verge of the A691, Witton Gilbert to enable new housing development and drainage works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to pedestrian traffic via a route to the eastern side of the closed section.
