What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON STENSON ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 14 September 2025
WHERE: Stenson Road, at its junction with Sunnyhill Avenue
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stenson Road – Warwick Avenue – Burton Road – Hillsway – The Hollow – Blagreaves Lane – Stenson Road (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON PORTLAND STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 08 September 2025 to 24 September 2025 (Daily: 08:00am to 15:30pm, excluding the weekend)
WHERE: Portland Street, from its junction with Bethulie Road and Harrington Street Phase 1: Harrington Street to Pear Tree Crescent Phase 2: Pear Tree Crescent to Balfour Road Phase 3: Balfour Road to Bethulie Road
REASON: Carriageway resurfacing
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Phase 1: Harrington Street – St Thomas Road – Pear Tree Street – Princes Street – Harrington Street and the same in the opposite direction and Portland Street – Pear Tree Street – St Thomas Road – Pear Tree Crescent and the same in the opposite direction And Pear Tree Crescent – Pear Tree Crescent Phase 2: Pear Tree Crescent – Pear Tree Crescent and the same in the opposite direction and Portland Street – Harrington Street – St Thomas Road – Balfour Road and the same in the opposite direction Phase 3: Balfour Road – Balaclava Road – Bethulie Road and the same in the opposite direction

WHEN: 22 September 2025 to 20 October 2025
WHERE: Paterson Avenue, between its junction with Parkside Road and Sanderson Road
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Paterson Avenue – Parkside Road – Sanderson Road (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON COLWYN AVENUE, DERBY
WHEN: 22 September 2025 to 06 October 2025
WHERE: Colwyn Avenue, from its junction with Warwick Avenue
REASON: Gas works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Colwyn Avenue – Carlton Road – Warwick Avenue (and the same in the opposite direction Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON GRAMPIAN WAY, DERBY
WHEN: 18 August 2025 to 01 September 2025 (08:00am - 15:30pm excluding holidays)
WHERE: Grampian Way, from the island at Rothesay Close to the island at Arleston Lane
REASON: Carriageway Resurfacing
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Grampian Way – Merrill Way – Stenson Road – Sunnyhill Avenue – Derby Lane – Sinfin Avenue – Arleston Lane – Grampian Way (and the same in the opposite direction)
