What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bicester, Victoria Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 18 August 2025

Coming into force: 26 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of new low voltage electrical connection across the road which is anticipated to take until 3 September 2025 to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Victoria Road south of Linden Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Launton Road, London Road, B4100 Manorsfield Road, St Johns Street, Sheep Street, Bell Lane and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16239/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Chesterton, A4095 Bignell View

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 1 September 2025

Coming into force: 8 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of pipe laying work for Thames Water which is anticipated to take until 30 September 2025 to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Bignell View north of The Hale. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Bicester and Middleton Stony – A4095, B430, B4030 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15548/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bucknell, Middleton Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 18 August 2025

Coming into force: 27 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of fibre cabling work which are anticipated to take until 18 September 2025 to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Middleton Road from the junction of Bicester Road to outside Gaglebrook. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Bicester Road, Howes Lane, B4030 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16106/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Kidlington, Footpath 125–137 Wilsdon Way

Date of Order: 18/8/2025

Coming into force: 25/8/2025

This Order is being introduced because of electrical maintenance works on behalf of SSEN which is anticipated to be completed on 5/9/2025.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the footpath in front of Nos. 97–109 and 125–137 Wilsdon Way, Kidlington. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath.

The alternative route will be signed locally and appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T15350/RMF)
