Public Footpaths Nos. 10, 29 and 42, Tawe Uchaf - Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians due to fallen trees

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit the passage of pedestrians in the length of footpath no. 10 that proceeds from the junction with bridleway no. 11 to the north west of Ongur Uchaf (grid reference 284510,215252) in a generally south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 260 metres to the junction with public footpaths nos. 29 and 42 (grid reference 284311,215211); footpath no. 29 from the junction with footpaths nos. 10 and 42 (grid reference 284311,215211) to the A4067 (grid reference 284246,215120) and footpath no. 42 from the junction with public footpaths nos. 10 and 29 (grid reference 284311,215211) to the A4067 (grid reference 284087,215247).
The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety as trees have fallen across the footpaths. No available alternative routes are available along the rights of way network.
The Order will be in force for a period not exceeding 6 months. Any further extension of the Order beyond 6 months will be subject to the consent of the Welsh Ministers.
