Mae Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, gyda chymeradwyaeth Llywodraeth Cymru wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 16A Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, yn bwriadu, heb fod yn llai na 7 diwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, wneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn para hyd at 3 diwrnod.
Effaith gyffredinol y Gorchymyn fydd gwahardd cerbydau dros dro rhag defnyddio neu deithio ar hyd y darnau o ffyrdd ar y dyddiad a’r amserau a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod.
Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i hwyluso Ras 10k Caerdydd 2025 ym mis Medi 2024 a bydd yn dod i rym ar 6 Medi 2025 a disgwylir iddo fod ar waith ar y dyddiadau ac yn ystod yr amseroedd a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod.
Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROPOSAL THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF (CARDIFF 10K RUN SEPTEMBER 2025, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES) ORDER 2025
The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff, with approval of the Welsh Government in exercise of its powers under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the maximum duration of which is 3 days. The general effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from using or proceeding along the lengths of road on the date and during the times specified in the below Schedule.
The Order is necessary to facilitate the Cardiff 10k Run September 2025 and shall come into operation on 6th September 2025 and is expected to be in operation on the dates and during the times specified in the Schedule below.
The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices.
The Order will be known as “The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff (Cardiff 10k Run September 2025, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2025”.
SCHEDULE
Between the hours of 5:00am on Saturday 6th September 2025 and 6:00pm on Sunday 7th September 2025
• College Road from its junction with Museum Avenue to its junction with King Edward VII Avenue
• Museum Avenue from its junction with Corbett Road to its junction with Gorsedd Gardens Road
• King Edward VII Avenue from its junction with Boulevard De Nantes to its junction with City Hall Road; and from its junction with Corbett Road to its junction with College Road
• Gorsedd Gardens Road from its junction with Park Place to its junction with Museum Avenue
• City Hall Road from its junction with North Road to its junction with Museum Avenue (Vehicle access to private parking and for deliveries will be maintained until 6:00am on Sunday 7th September 2025) Between the hours of 9:00am and 1:00pm on Sunday 7th September 2025 (on a rolling closure basis with roads reopening whenever possible)
• North Road from its junction with Colum Road to its junction with Boulevard De Nantes (Access to Blackweir via Park Place/Corbett Road) (Access to Queen Anne Square will be managed via Colum Road/Corbett Road and exiting will be via Corbett Road onto Colum Road)
• North Road south of its junction with Boulevard De Nantes to its junction with the A4161
• A4161 from its junction with North Road to its junction with Kingsway
• Kingsway from its junction with the A4161 to its junction with Duke Street
• Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Cathedral Road
• Boulevard De Nantes from its junction with Park Place/Stuttgarter Strasse to its junction with North Road
• Castle Street, Duke Street, The Friary and Friary Gardens, Westgate Street, Wood Street, Golate, Guildhall Place, Quay Street, Central Square, Scott Road, Havelock Street, Park Street throughout their lengths
• St Mary Street from its junction with Mill Lane to its junction with Guildhall Place
• High Street from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Guildhall Place
• Tudor Street from its junction with Clare Road
• Fitzhamon Embankment, Despenser Street, Despenser Lane, Despenser Place, Plantagenet Street, Beauchamp Street, Clare Street, Lower Cathedral Road, Brook Street, Mark Street, Green Street, Coldstream Terrace throughout their lengths

• Wellington Street from its junction with Leckwith Road (Inbound toward the city centre)
• Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Kings Road
• Cathedral Road from its junction with Cowbridge Road East to its junction with Penhill Road.

• Penhill Road from its junction with Llandaff/Cardiff Road (Inbound only)
• Lane closure on Western Avenue from its junction with Excelsior Road to its junction with Mill Lane In addition to the above road closures, please note the following:
• This Order shall temporarily suspend the No Right Turn prohibition from Colum Road into Corbett Road. This is to facilitate access to Queen Anne Square only and will be managed by Traffic Management Staff.
• This Order shall temporarily suspend the No Right Turn prohibition from Cowbridge Road East into Wellington Street.
• This Order shall temporarily suspend the pay and display parking in Sophia Gardens and no parking will be permitted due to it being under Event Management
Where possible, business and resident access will be maintained but only when it is safe to do so. This will be managed by Cardiff Council Traffic Management Staff.
