Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, DA11 7QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the replacement of a manhole cover and frame, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, on or after 4th September 2025 for up to 1 night between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 223.

The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, Coldharbour Road, New House Lane and vice versa.

 

Coutts Avenue, Shorne DA12 3JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coutts Avenue, Shorne, on or after 19th September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 30.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Forge Lane, Higham ME3 7AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Higham on or after 17th September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 58.

The alternative route is via Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, Villa Road, School Lane, Hermitage Road and vice versa.

 

Mill Hill Lane, Shorne DA12 3DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the installation of a new electricity supply for a customer and works to overhead lines, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Hill Lane, Shorne, on or after 19th September 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Old Parsonage/Scout Hall.

The alternative route is via Crown Lane, The Street, Tanyard Hill, The Ridgeway, Brewers Road, Halfpence Lane, Darnley Lodge Lane, Thong Lane, Shorne Ifield Road and vice versa.

 

Pelham Terrace, Gravesend, DA11 0JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pelham Terrace, Gravesend, on or after 1st September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 14.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Portland Avenue, Gravesend. DA12 1QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Portland Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 15th September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 76.

The alternative route is via Sun Lane, Ferndale Road, Central Avenue, Portland Avenue and vice versa.
