Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
Ash Road, Sandwich, CT13 9JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ash Road, Sandwich, on or after 21st September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 01:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Ash Road, Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road and A256 Sandwich Bypass.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, New Street, No Name Street, Delf Street, Market Street, The Butchery, Harnet Street and Strand Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Brookfield Road, Dover, CT17 0FF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brookfield Road, Dover, on or after 1st September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brookfield Road, Dodds Lane, A256 Crabble Hill, Mangers Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cooting Road, Aylesham, CT3 3EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cooting Road, Aylesham, on or after 5th September 2025 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from 14:00 Saturday 6th September 2025 till 05:00 8th September 2025. Thereafter the road will be closed between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only.
Cooting Road will be closed as a rolling closure between the junctions of B2046 Adisham Road and Spinney Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, Spinney Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Mongeham Road, Sholden, CT14 9WX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mongeham Road, Sholden, on or after 1st September 2025 for up to 54 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of A258 London Road to outside number 30, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 London Road, B2056 Manor Road, Mill Hill, St Richards Road, Mongeham Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Richborough Road, Richborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Richborough Road, Richborough, on or after 7th September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 00:30 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Richborough Road, Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A257 Ash Bypass, Cooper Street Drove and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sea Street, St Margarets At Cliffe, CT15 6AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sea Street, St Margarets At Cliffe, on or after 17th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chapel Lane and The Droveway, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
St Leonards Road, Deal, CT14 9AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Leonards Road, Deal, on or after 16th September 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 21 to outside number 29, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 London Road, B2056 Manor Road, St Leonards Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Station Road, Walmer, CT14 9JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Walmer, on or after 15th September 2025 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Station Road, Sydney Road, St Richards Road, Salisbury Road, Court Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Wass Drove, Westmarsh, CT3 2LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wass Drove, Westmarsh, on or after 16th September 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Clampits Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wass Drove, Ware Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
