Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

Birchett Lane, Hamstreet. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Birchett Lane, Hamstreet, from 15th September 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of St Thomas Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Longrope, Church Lane, Woodchurch Road, Hornash Lane, Hamstreet Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Fougeres Way, Ashford, TN25 4DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fougeres Way, Ashford from 21:00 hours on 1st September 2025, with estimated completion by 08:00 hours on 2nd September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed the entirety of the roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

 

Kingsford Street, Mersham, TN25 6PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kingsford Street, Mersham, from 5th September 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Blind Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Blind Lane, Church Road, Bower Road, The Street and vice versa.

There is no alternative route for vehicles over 11ft, access will be maintained on site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Kingsmill Down, Hastingleigh. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kingsmill Down, Hastingleigh, from 19th September 2025, with estimated completion by 22nd September 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance to the property Kingsmill Down, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kingsmill Down, Pilgrims Way, New Barn Hill, New Barn Road, The Street, Evington Road From Junction With The Street To Boundary Line, From Dean Bottom To District Boundary, Glory Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pett Lane, Charing, TN27 0DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pett Lane, Charing, from 15th September 2025, with estimated completion by 19th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between The Glebe and Woodbrook, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pett Lane, High Street, Old Ashford Road, A20 Ashford Road and Wicken Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pluckley Road, Bethersden, TN26 3ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pluckley Road, Bethersden, from 1st September 2025, with estimated completion by 7th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Homelands, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pluckley Road, Old Surrenden Manor Road, Ashford Road, Forge Hill, Bull Lane, Smarden Road, Bethersden Road, Cage Lane, The Street, Chambers Green Road, End Of Pluckley Road At River Beult To Chambers Green Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sandhurst Lane, Rolvenden, TN17 4PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandhurst Lane, Rolvenden, from 19th September 2025, with estimated completion by 22nd September 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with B2086 Benenden Road and number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2086 Benenden Road, Regent Street, A28 High Street, Hastings Road, Alder Lane, Sandhurst Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Shoreham Lane, Tenterden, TN30 6EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Shoreham Lane, Tenterden, from 15th September 2025, with estimated completion by 17th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 1 The Garden, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shoreham Lane, A28 Ashford Road, Grange Road, Shoreham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Spot House Lane, Warehorne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Spot House Lane, Warehorne from 18th September 2025, with estimated completion by 19th September 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the entrance to Tuckers Farm and the entrance to Parsonage Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spot House Lane, Woodchurch Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Station Road, Hothfield. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Station Road, Hothfield from 1st September 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 34 School Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Maidstone Road, Maidstone Road North Of Drovers Roundabout, Godinton Lane, Water Fall Road, Park Drive, The Street, School Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wye Road, Hastingleigh, TN25 5HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow drainage maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wye Road, Hastingleigh from 3rd September 2025, with estimated completion by 4th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Robertsdane and ZigZag Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wye Road, The Street, New Barn Road, New Barn Hill, Pilgrims Way, Weekes Lane, Green Lane, Plumpton, Hinxhill Road From Junction With Goodcheap Lane To Nackolt Road, Spelders Hill, Nats Lane, Amage Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
