What is happening?
SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
(ARGYLE STREET, HEBBURN) ORDER 2025
South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to:- REVOKE No Waiting
Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm on Argyle St north side from a point 145m east of its junction with the east kerbline of Caledonian St for 205m in an easterly direction and south side from a point 120m east of its junction with the east kerbline of Olwen Drive for 30m in an easterly direction and from a point 167m east of its junction with the east kerbline of Olwen Drive for 273m in an easterly direction; No Waiting 8am-6pm on Argyle St north side, west of its junction with Caledonian St in a south westerly direction for 15m and east of its junction with Caledonian St in a north easterly direction for 15m and south side, west of its junction with Holystone St in a south westerly direction for 15m. INTRODUCE No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on Argyle St north side from its junction with
Caledonian St eastwards for 394m and south side from a point 65m east of its junction with
Caledonian St eastwards for 392m. Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall at the address below. If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council’s Legal Services Department at the address below or by
using the same email address above by 16 September 2025. Any objections must specify
