Killinghurst Lane (D158) Chiddingfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 15 August 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Killinghurst Lane (D158) Chiddingfold as extends from the access for the farm buildings to the west of Ramsnest Bridge and the access for the property known as “Ramster”.
Alternative Route – A283 (Cripplecrutch Hill), B2131 (Rodgate Lane and Petworth Road) and Killinghurst Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate bridge replacement for Ramsnest Bridge and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 September 2025 for 3 months, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Long Reach (D247) and The Street (C41) West Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 15 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- (a) Long Reach (D247) West Horsley as extends from the eastern boundary of the property known as “61 Long Reach” to the western boundary of the property known as “63 Long Reach”; and (b) The Street (C41) West Horsley as extends from the southern boundary of the property known as “164 The Street” to the northern boundary of the property known as “168 The Street”.
Alternative Route – (a) Long Reach, B2039 (Ockham Road North) and East Lane, or this route in reverse. (b) The Street, A246 (Epsom Road and Guildford Road)., B2039 (Ockham Road South and Ockham Road North), East Lane and The Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to facilitate water connections and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 September 2025. The works on Long Reach will start on 1 September for 3 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. The works on The Street will start on 2 September for 3 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
The Broadway (D6908) Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 20 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Broadway (D6908) Thames Ditton as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.07 and No.08 The Broadway to its junction with (A309) Hampton Court Road. Alternative Route: (A309) Hampton Court Way, and (D6908) The Broadway, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of a new EV charger for, or on behalf of Nexus Utilities Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Dawney Hill (A324) Pirbright Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 20 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Dawney Hill (A324) Pirbright as extends from its junction with (D44) Bisley Camp Road to its junction with (B3012) Gole Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the Borough of Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.8) 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (A324) Dawney Hill, (A324) The Green, (A324) Guildford Road, (A324) Aldershot Road, (A324) Pirbright Road, (A323) Guildford Road, (A323) Aldershot Road, Holly Lane, (A322) Worplesdon Road, (A322) Rickford, (A322) Bagshot Road, and (A324) Connaught Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, via the marshalls on site. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Westbrook Road (D5421) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 20 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Westbrook Road (D5421) Godalming that is crossed under the bridge known as “Westbrook Road (17/32) and for a distance of 15 metres either side. This Order is required to facilitate detailed bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 nights, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Ford Lane (D5313) Wrecclesham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ford Lane (D5313) Wrecclesham as extends from a point in line with the common property boundary between No.16 and No.18 Ford Lane to a point in line with the common property boundary between the properties known as “Hazeldene” and “Drovers Holt”. Alternative Route – Ford Lane; Shortheath Road; A287 Frensham Road; Middle Bourne Lane; and Ford Lane. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 09 September 2025 is required to facilitate joint box maintenance and/or cabling works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Station Lane (C32) Enton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Lane (C32) Enton that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Milford Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres on either side. Alternative Route – Station Lane; A286 Church Road/Petworth Road; Lane End; Malthouse Lane; Hambledon Road; and Station Lane; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Station Lane (C32) Enton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) above. This 18-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 14 September 2025 is required to facilitate railway crossing maintenance and/or railway crossing repair and/or railway inspection and/or railway maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one day between the hours of 8am and 4pm Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic, including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No Sole access will be affected by this closure.
Station Road (C10) Egham Temporary One-Way Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (C10) Egham as extends from its junction with (D3185) Rusham Road South-eastwards for a distance of approximately 10 metres in any direction other than northwestwards. Alternative Route – Station Road; Church Road; High Street; Vicarage Road; New Wickham Lane; Stroude Road; Manorscroft Road; and Station Lane. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 14 September 2025 is required to facilitate section 81 defect repair works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Cadent Gas within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary one-way system, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The above restrictions shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police. Access for the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.
Church Road (D6935) East Molesey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D6935) East Molesey as extends from its junction with (A3050) Hurst Road to a point in line with the common boundary between properties No.3 and No.7 Church Road. Alternative Route: (1) Church Road, Wolsey Road, (B3379) Bridge Road, (A3050) Riverbank, and (A3050) Hurst Road; (2) (A3050) Hurst Road, (A3050) Riverbank, (A309) Hampton Court Way, (A3050) Creek Road, (B3379) Creek Road, (B3379) Bridge Road, Wolsey Road, and Church Road. This Order is required to facilitate connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 25 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Station Parade (D647) East Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Parade (D647) East Horsley as extends from its junction with (D615) Kingston Avenue to its junction with (X615) Ockham Road South Access to Garages.
Alternative Route: (B2039) Ockham Road South. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no other vehicular access through the closure, and all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Trumps Green Road (C10) Virginia Water Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Trumps Green Road (C10) Virginia Water as extends from the bridge known as “Longcross Bridge” and for a distance of 50 metres either side. Alternative Route: Trumps Green Road, Bridge Lane, Lyne Crossing Road, Hardwick Lane, (B386) Holloway Hill, Longcross Road, and Kitsmead Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate repairs and re-surfacing of carriageway and footway works and/or maintenance works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Various in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/or surface dressing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24- hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and Section 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe which extends from its junction with Barhatch Lane to the eastern property boundary line of “Bramdene”; and (b) suspend Surrey County Council D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway patching works and/or major maintenance, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so via road plates. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
There is no diversion route available for this road closure.

Footpath No. 53 (Egham)
Public Path Diversion Order 2024
On 15 August 2025, Runnymede Borough Council confirmed the above Order made under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert Footpath 53 (Egham) running from Rosemary Lane at OS Grid Reference 501696 168820 in a southerly turning to south westerly direction for 157 metres to OS Grid Reference 501653 168685 to a line running from the same point in an easterly turning to generally southerly direction for 200 metres to OS Grid Reference 501653 168685.

The Order came into force on 15 August 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highway Act 1980 as amended or on the ground that any requirement of the Act as amended or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks from 22 August 2025 make an application to the High Court.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) & (2)
Public Footpath Nos. 82 (Woking) & 5 (Ockham) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2014
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath Nos. 82 (Woking) & 5 (Ockham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2014 was made on the grounds of the likelihood of danger to the public due to an unsafe footbridge. The Order came into operation on 3 February 2014 and was originally due to expire on 12 July 2014, but was extended to 12 August 2017. The Order has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport for a twelfth time and will now expire on 31 August 2026, or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Footpath Nos. 82 (Woking) & 5 (Ockham) at Pigeon House Footbridge (Grid ref: TQ 0542 5844).
The temporary closure will only operate while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prohibiting the said movements.
The alternative route from the northern end of the closure will be: Proceed in a north-westerly direction along Public Footpath 83 (Woking) to its junction with Public Footpath 131 (Woking). Turn right and proceed in a north-easterly direction along Public Footpath 131 and Public Footpath 82 (Woking), bearing left and continuing along Public Footpath 82 in an easterly and then north-easterly direction to its junction with Warren Lane. Turn left on Warren Lane, and the immediately left again onto Public Footpath 81 (Woking) in a generally southerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath 123 (Woking). Turn left onto Public Footpath 123 and cross the Wey Navigation, and then proceed in a generally south-westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath 34 (Ripley). Cross the River Wey and continue in a south easterly and then southerly direction along Public Footpath 34 (Ripley) to its junction with Public Footpath 532 (Ripley). Turn left onto Public Footpath 532 and continue in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Public Footpath 531 (Ripley). Turn left onto Public Footpath 531 and proceed in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Public Bridleway 33 (Ripley). Continue in a north-easterly direction along Public Bridleway 33 and then Public Bridleway 33 (Ockham) to its junction with Mill Lane. Turn left onto Mill Lane and proceed in a north-westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath 5 (Ockham). Turn right onto Public Footpath 5 and continue in a generally north-westerly direction to the southern end of the closure. From the southern end of the closure, the alternative will be the reverse of the route described above.

Public Footpaths 63, 74, 75 & 80 (Egham) and Public Footpaths 174 & 175 (Chobham)
Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2025
On 04 September 2025 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 63 (Egham) from London Road to Bourneside, Public Footpath 74 (Egham) from Public Footpath 174 (Chobham) to Public Footpath 63 (Egham), Public Footpath 75 (Egham) from Public Footpath 74 (Egham) to Public Footpath 175 (Chobham), Public Footpath 80 (Egham) from the County boundary to Public Footpath 174 (Chobham), Public Footpath 174 (Chobham) from Public Footpath 80 (Egham) to Public Footpath 74 (Egham) and Public Footpath 175 (Chobham) from its southern end to Public Footpath 75 (Egham).
The Order is necessary in the interest of safety and security due to the PGA golf championship. The closure will be in operation for a period of 7 days from 8 September 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no alternative route.
“The Surrey County Council Public Footpaths 63, 74, 75 & 80 (Egham) and Public Footpaths 174 & 175 (Chobham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” will be made by the County Council under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
