What is happening?

THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL (B9006 SUNNYSIDE) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council proposes to make an Order in terms of Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 entitled as above.

If the Order comes into force, the Order will introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following roads in Sunnyside, Inverness-shire over their entire length, unless stated otherwise below:

Route B9006 - Millburn Roundabout - Croy - Fort George Road
From a point 64m or thereby to the west of its junction with the U2912 Brookfield and extending in an easterly direction for a distance of 1360m or thereby.

A copy of the draft TRO, schedule, plan and the Authority’s Statement of Reasons can be inspected at the Inverness Service Point, Town House, Castle Street, Inverness, IV1 1JJ during normal opening hours from Monday to Friday 10:00 – 12:30 and 1:30 to 4:30, from the 29th August 2025 to 27th September 2025. Documents may also be found at https://www.highland.gov.uk/roadsafety and selecting “Road Safety
Consultations” or by emailing trafficorders@highland.gov.uk.

All objections to the proposals must be made in writing and must specify the grounds of objection on or before the 27/09/2025 to the following:
