What is happening?

WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(HARBOROUGH ROAD, EAST FARNDON)

(40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, proposes to make an Order to introduce a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the length of road described in the Schedule to this notice.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on the road specified in the Schedule below.

A copy of the proposed Order, a map showing the exact length of road to which it relates and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be:

•   Viewed  online at: www.westnorthants.gov.uk (search: “Traffic Regulation Orders”); or

•   Inspected in person (by appointment only) at: Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northamptonshire, NN6 9BX To arrange an appointment, please call: 01604 529700

MAKING REPRESENTATIONS OR OBJECTIONS – Any person wishing to object to, support, or make representations regarding the proposed Order must do so in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made, to: Traffic Orders Section, Kier Highways, Highways Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, NN6 9BX or by email to: WNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk All representations must be received no later than 11th September 2025.
