What is happening?

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BOTHAMSALL BRIDLEWAY No.6 and HAUGHTON BRIDLEWAY No.6) DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order, made on Friday 15th August 2025, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert:

That part of Haughton Public Bridleway No.6 commencing from a point, SK6610 7191 (marked A on the order plan) proceeding for a distance of approximately 142 metres in a north-westerly direction to the parish boundary at point, SK6601 7202 (marked B on the order plan), and that part of Bothamsall Bridleway No. 6 from the parish boundary at point, SK6601 7202 (marked B on the order plan) proceeding for a distance of approximately 75 metres in a north-westerly, northerly and north-easterly direction to the junction with Bothamsall Footpath No. 15 at SK6600 7208 (marked C on the order plan) to a line from point, SK6610 7191 (marked A on the order plan) in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 292 metres along a forestry unsurfaced track to point SK6634 7208 (marked D on the order plan) and then proceeding for a distance of approximately 143 metres in a north-north-westerly direction along an unsurfaced track to point SK6627 7221 (marked E on the order plan). 

Then commencing in an west-south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 12 metres to the parish boundary at point, SK6626 7220 (marked F on the order plan) along the route of former Haughton Footpath No.8 and then continuing in an west-south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 287 metres along the route of former Bothamsall Footpath No.15 to point, SK6600 7208 (marked C on the order plan). Section A-D-E to be the full width of the track having a varying with of between 3 and 4 metres. Section E-F-C to be the full width of the path having a varying width of between 2 and 3 metres.

A copy of the Order, Order Map and Statement of Reasons may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive by prior appointment or can be sent out by email on request countryside.access@nottscc.gov.uk. 

The documents will also be available to view at the offices of Bassetlaw District Council, Queen’s Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Notts, S80 2AH. And a copy may also be seen at Ollerton Library, Forest Road, New Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, NG22 9PL during their respective normal opening hours until Friday 19th September 2025

Any representations about or objections to the Order must be received by the Countryside Access Team at the address given below not later than 19th September 2025. 
Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Nottinghamshire County Council may themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
