Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary 40mph Speed Limit as specified in the Schedule below. This Order will come into operation on the 4th day of September 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The restriction is expected to commence for one day on the 13th day of September 2025 (between 05:00 hours and 19:00 hours) for the Frome Agricultural and Cheese Show 2025. The restriction will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Schedule - Temporary 40mph Speed Limit between 05:00 hours and 19:00 hours on the 13th September 2025 
Bunns Lane, Frome - From the junction with the B3092 Blatchbridge Roundabout to Frome Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 530 metres
B3092 Blatchbridge Roundabout to Frome Road, Frome - From a point 338 metres north of the junction with Bunns Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 500 metres

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
