What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL

(SLADE ROAD ETC, STOCKLAND GREEN) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council propose to make this Order under Section 84(1) and (2), and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended) the effect of which will be as follows: 

1. To introduce a 20 mph speed limit restriction on lengths of SLADE ROAD, STOCKLAND ROAD, HAMPTON ROAD, KINGS ROAD, QUEENS ROAD, FRANCES ROAD, ANCHORAGE ROAD, MERE ROAD, GLADSTONE ROAD, ALBERT ROAD, FENTHAM ROAD, ROSARY ROAD, ST THOMAS ROAD, ABBEY ROAD, DOIDGE ROAD, PARK ROAD, PARK APPROACH, GEORGE ROAD, NEVILLE ROAD and BOULTON WALK.
INSTALLATION OF SPEED CUSHIONS KINGS ROAD ETC, STOCKLAND GREN

NOTICE is also hereby given that above named Council proposes under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 to construct speed cushions up to a maximum height of 75mm, at the following approximate locations, for the purpose of reducing speed:

1. KINGS ROAD – approximately outside property no. 59
2. KINGS ROAD – approximately outside property no. 19
3. FRANCES ROAD – approximately outside property no. 57
4. FRANCES ROAD – approximately outside property no. 17
5. QUEENS ROAD – approximately outside property no. 30

Full details of these proposals are in the draft Order which, together with the plans and a statement of the Council’s reasons for the proposals, will be made available on request (Contact Iain Aiken email: iain.aiken@birmingham.gov.uk or Karl Randall Tel: 07766 924044). 

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Assistant Director – Transport & Connectivity at Place, Prosperity & Sustainability Directorate, Birmingham City Council, PO Box 14439, Birmingham B2 2JE stating the grounds for objection by the 11th September 2025.
