What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(PARKHEAD LOAN AND PARKHEAD TERRACE)

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/115

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate a safe working area for SPEN power mains replacement works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of Parkhead Ln, from the extended south-west kerbline of Longstone Rd, south-westwards to the extended north-east kerbline of Parkhead Ter; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of: (i) Parkhead Ln, both sides, from the extended south-west kerbline of Longstone Rd, south-westwards to the extended south-west building line of numbers 27/29 Parkhead Ln; & (ii) Parkhead Ter, both sides, from the extended north-west kerbline of Parkhead Ln, north-westwards to the extended south-east building line of numbers 39/41 Parkhead Ter. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The alternative route for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closure on Parkhead Ln is: (i) Longstone Rd, Murrayburn Rd, Parkhead Dr & Parkhead Ln; & (ii) Longstone Rd, Calder Rd, Sighthill Ave, Parkhead Ave, Parkhead Gdns, Parkhead Dr & Parkhead Ln.

The Order shall have effect from 22/08/25 to 12/09/25.
