Longford Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting At Any Time Order
What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(LONGFORD STREET, HEYWOOD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Longford Street from its junction with Bamford Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Longford Street from its junction with Bamford Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe working area and associated traffic management for HIAB operation to deliver new telecommunications mast and decommission old mast within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 until 18:00 on the 26th August 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Bamford Road, Market Place, York Street, Queens Park Road, Longford Street.
(BOARDMAN LANE, MIDDLETON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Boardman Lane from its junction with Rhodes Green for a distance of 173 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe installation of an overhead cable pole.
The Order will be operative from 09:30 hours until 15:30 hours on 21st August 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Ellis Lane, Heywood Old Road (A6045), Manchester Old Road (A576), Boardman Lane and vice versa.
