Cromford Street - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Manhole Chamber Works
What is happening?

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2025
The Oldham Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Cromford Street between Yates Street and Acton Street.
The alternative route will be via Acton Street & Acre Lane.
The Order is to be made to allow United Utilities manhole chamber works and will be in force for 3 weeks from 1st September 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. The works are expected to take 15 days.
