Malaga Close Area - Prohibition Any Pedestrian Traffic For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(MALAGA CLOSE AREA) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian traffic from proceeding on
- The footpath linking North Walbottle Road to Malaga Close
- The footpath linking Malaga Close to Mangrove Close
- The footpath linking Mandarin Close, Malaga Close and Madeira Close
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for personnel engaged in the said works.
5. The Order will come into operation on 27 September 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 14 January 2026 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
