Redwood Street - Prohibition of Waiting and Amendment

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council has made the City of Salford (Greenwood Street Area) (Prohibition of Waiting and Amendment) Order 2025 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to introduce- No Waiting at Any Time on: 

Redwood Street (i) north west side, from Greenwood Street for 40m south westerly (ii) south east side, from Greenwood Street for 12m south westerly. Greenwood Street (i) north east side, from Ford Lane to 89m north west of Harding Street (ii) south west side, from Ford Lane to 10m north west of Redwood Street. Harding Street - both sides, from Greenwood Street for 10m north easterly. Ford Lane - north west side, from Broughton Road to 10m south west of Greenwood Street. Existing Orders will be amended to facilitate the above.

 The Order was made on 15 August 2025 and will come into effect on 26 August 2025. 

A copy of Order, plan and copies of the Orders that are amended are available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. 

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 15 August 2025 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
