Angus, Glenqueich to Midtown - Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting, to allow for electricity supply work.

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 25 August 2025 Angus Council made The Angus Council (U410 Glenqueich - Midtown (C30)) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that electricity supply works may be undertaken. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles at Derachie Cottages on the Glenqueich to Midtown road (C30) extending from a point 320 metres or thereby north of its junction with the Cortachy to Menmuir road (C30) in a northerly direction for a distance of 1.05 kilometres or thereby. The Order will come into force on 29 August 2025, for a period of 15 days. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via the Cortachy to Menmuir road (C30) and the U410 Glenqueich to Midtown road (C30). The reverse route applies. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. Full details of the Order are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders. The maximum duration in terms of the act is 18 months.
