ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (MILLFIELD LANE, CADDINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Millfield Lane, Caddington outside of The Jays.
This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from
27 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Pipers Lane, Mancroft Road, Dunstable Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 27 August 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (GROVE ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Grove Road, Houghton Regis opposite numbers 18 to 74.
This temporary closure is required to enable footway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 28 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Grove Road, Hilborough Crescent and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 26 August 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (WESTFIELD ROAD, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Westfield Road, Dunstable outside Watling House car park.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from
29 to 31 August 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Westfield Road, Maidenbower Avenue, Brewers Hill Road, A505 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 29 August 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (WINDSOR DRIVE, HOUGHTON REGIS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Windsor Drive, Houghton Regis from 100 metres south of Longbrooke.
This temporary closure is required to enable installation of zebra crossing and associated work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 26 September 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Sandringham Drive, Park Road North, Park Road, Parkside Drive and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 8 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(HOUGHTON REGIS: FOOTPATH NO. 57)
PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2025 On the 15 August 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the following length of Public Footpath No. 57.
The length of Footpath No. 57, Houghton Regis to be stopped up extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0001 2427 in a generally northeasterly direction for approximately 41 metres to OS GR TL 0004 2429 then continues in a generally eastsouth-easterly direction for approximately 51 metres to OS GR TL 0008 2428 then continues in an east-northeasterly direction for approximately 200 metres to OS GR TL 0026 2437 then continues in a generally eastnorth-easterly direction for approximately 86 metres to terminate at its junction with Bridleway No. 58, Houghton Regis and Footpath No. 56, Houghton Regis at OS GR TL 0034 2440.
The footpath is stopped up over its full width.

On the 15 August 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create the following length of Public Bridleway No. 57. The length of Bridleway No. 57, Houghton Regis to be created extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 49, Houghton Regis at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0004 2429 in a generally eastsouth-easterly direction for approximately 50 metres to OS GR TL 0008 2428 then continues in an east-northeasterly direction for approximately 200 metres to OS GR TL 0026 2437 then continues in a generally eastnorth-easterly direction for approximately 86 metres to terminate at its junction with Bridleway No. 58, Houghton Regis and Footpath No. 56, Houghton Regis at OS GR TL 0034 2440.
The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.
