What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH GREAT GADDESDEN 23

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Great Gaddesden 23, heading south from junction with Great Gaddesden 25 to junction with Great Gaddesden 32, for an approximate distance of 500m.

Alternative Route: via Great Gaddesden 25, 26 and field boundary route to south and west The purpose of the Order is to enable filming works to take place.

The section of Footpath Great Gaddesden 23 will be closed on or after 08 September 2025 for up to 10 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CASTLE STREET, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Castle Street, Berkhamsted from its junction with Chapel Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Castle Street, A4251 High Street, Lower Kings Road, Station Road and Castle Road.

The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ST ALBANS HILL, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St Albans Hill, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wheelers Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via St Albans Hill, Lawn Lane, A414 St Albans Road, Bennetts End Road and St Albans Hill.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TRING TOWN PUBLIC FOOTPATH 041, TRING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Tring Town Public Footpath 041 from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.12 Mill Gardens south eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m (“the Public Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via Tring Town Public Footpath 041, Tring Town Public Footpath 039, the footway situated on the west side of B486 Brook Street, the footway situated on the south, east and south sides of Mill Gardens and the footpath situated between No.10 and No.11 Mill Gardens.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 September 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COWPER ROAD AND ST JOHNS ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Cowper Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Crouchfield southwards to its junction with St Johns Road, a distance of approximately 174m.

An alternative route will be via Cowper Road, Gravel Hill Terrace, Green End Road and St Johns Road. 2. that length of St Johns Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the western boundary of No.47 St Johns Road eastwards for a distance of approximately 28m.

An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Green End Road, Gravel Hill Terrace, Woodland Avenue, Beechfield Road and St Johns Road.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PULLER ROAD AND GROSVENOR TERRACE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1.  that length of Puller Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Grosvenor Terrace south eastwards to its junction with Hanover Green, a distance of approximately 154m.

An alternative route will be via Grosvenor Road, Alston Road, Sebright Road, St Johns Road and Puller Road or via Grosvenor Road, Cowper Road, St Johns Road and Puller Road.

2.  that length of Grosvenor Terrace, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the western boundary of No,11 Grosvenor Terrace north eastwards for a distance of approximately 24m.

An alternative route will be via Grosvenor Road, Alston Road, Sebright Road, St Johns Road, Cowper Road and Grosvenor Terrace.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
