Wheddon Cross To Bridgetown Road, Exton Temporary Closure due to pole testing works

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Wheddon Cross To Bridgetown Road - from the junction with Coppleham Cross To Edbrooke Bridge to the junction with Exton Lane.
A total distance of 938 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works.
The Order becomes effective on 12th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 16th
September 2025 and last until 16th September 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours. Visit https://one.network/?tm=142823309 for further information on the alternative route.
