Thorne Lane , Winsford, Cutcombe and Exton - Temporary Closure due to barrier replacement works

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Thorne Lane - from the junction with Wheddon Cross To Bridgetown Road, westwards for a total distance of 477 metres.
This Order will enable Kier to carry out barrier replacement works on behalf of Somerset Highways. The Order becomes effective on 12th September
2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 15th September 2025 and last until 16th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 for a total of 2 days. Please visit https://one.network/?tm=144811304 for further information on the alternative route.
