Station Road, Crowcombe - Temporary Closure due to water mains replacement

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Station Road - from the junction with Bakers Orchard to the junction with Kings Acre. A total distance of 60 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Water to replace water main. The Order becomes effective on 12th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.
The works are expected to commence on 15th September 2025 and last until 19th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days. Visit https://one.network/?tm=144861897 for further information on the alternative route.
