(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend is not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians users from proceeding along the length of footpath set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force.
During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the length of footpath is closed.
The Order is necessary to permit Natural Resources Wales to undertake repair works to the Neath Abbey Ironworks’ Cwm Clydach Dam Structure and is in the interests of public safety.
The Order will come into force on 1st September 2025 and shall continue in force for a period of six months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

Footpath 3, Blaenhonddan
That length of footpath 3 Blaenhonddan commencing at point A (Grid Ref. 27389 19876) & proceeding in a generally easterly direction to point B (Grid Ref. 27404 19875) a total distance of 156 metres or thereabouts.
Alternative Routes
The public are advised to use the existing public rights of way and highway network.
