Temporary Closure of Monks Ford, Preywater Road, Church Road and North Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Monks Ford - from the junction with Wetmoor Lane, north-eastwards for a distance of 593 metres; Preywater Road - from the junction with Knowle Lane, south-westwards for a distance of 154 metres; Church Road - from the junction with High Street, south-eastwards for a distance of 101 metres; and North Road - from the junction with High Street, north-eastwards for a distance of 43 metres. A total distance of 891 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out phased sewer rehabilitation works (as and when signed on site).
The Order becomes effective on 4th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 8th September 2025 and last until 3rd October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 26 days.
