Shapway - Temporary Road Closure For New Connection Works

Temporary Closure of Shapway
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Shapway - from the junction with Compton Durville, southwards for a total distance of 130 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection works.
The Order becomes effective on 4th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 10th September 2025 and last until 12th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
