Suffolk, Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Pole Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C917 Glemham Road Glemham
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C917 Glemham Road, Glemham from the junction with Church Road for 100 metres northbound to facilitate pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Park Road, The Street, Lowestoft Road, Aldeburgh Road, Snape Road, School Road, A1094 Saxmundham Road, B1069 Leiston Road, B1069 Coldfair Green Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/08/2025 from 9:30am - 3:30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U8418 The Green, Nedging With Naughton
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8418 The Green, Nedging with Naughton from Ladys Cottage for 40 metres north eastbound to facilitate the overhead works for new pole installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Semer Road, Nedging With Naughton, Shrubbery Road, Whatfield Green, Whatfield, The Street, The Row, The Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/08/2025 from 9am - 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C404 Main Road, Somersham
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C404 Main Road, Somersham from Old School House to Properties to facilitate pole testing requirements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the Somersham Road, Barking, B1113, Great Blakenham, B1113, Wattisham Road, Wattisham, B1113, Offton Road, Willisham, Willisham Road, Main Road, Whatfield, Whatfield Hall Road, Rosewood Road, Needdham and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/08/2025 - 29/08/2025 from 10am - 3pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
