TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025 (NORWICH)

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

I) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

MOUSEHOLD LANE – from its junction with Plaford Road to its junction with Corbett Avenue to facilitate utility connection works between 08:00 and 18:00 from 23rd to 25th August 2025 (may continue until 6th October 2025). Alternative route is via: A1042 Mousehold Lane/ Heartsease Lane, B1140 Plumstead Road/ Kett’s Hill, A147 Barrack Street, A1151 Charlton Road/ Bull Close Road/ Magdalen Road/ Sprowston Road. The works promoter is ADL Traffic and Highways.

II) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

ELM GROVE LANE – from its junction with Rectory Close for 150m eastwards to facilitate new electrical connection works from 18th to 22nd August 2025 (may continue until 3rd October 2025). Alternative route is via: Elm Grove Lane, Angel Road, Chamberlain Road, St Clements Hill and vice versa. The works promoter is UK Power Network.

GERTRUDE ROAD – from 180m east of its junction with Maltby Court for 42m eastwards to facilitate gas pipe repair works from 20th to 30th August 2025 (may continue until 11th October 2025). Alternative route is via: Gertrude Road, Lavengro Road, Mousehold Avenue, Silver Road, Sprowston Road. The works promoter is Cadent Gas.

PITT STREET CYCLEPATH – from its junction with A147 St Crispins Road to its junction with New Botolph Street to facilitate new electrical connection works from 18th to 20th August 2025 (may continue until 1st October 2025). Alternative route is via: Cyclists will be asked to dismount and use footway on opposite side of carriageway. The works promoter is UK Power Network.

ROSARY ROAD – from 60m northwest of its junction with Hill House Road for 30m north westwards to facilitate chamber adjustment and repair works from 20th to 22nd August 2025 (may continue until 3rd October 2025). Alternative route is via: Rosary Road, Thorpe Road, Carrow Road, Canary Way, Koblenz Avenue, Clarence Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SURREY STREET/ ALL SAINTS GREEN – from its junction with St Stephens Road to its junction with Lobster Lane to facilitate cabling works from 18th to 20th August 2025 (may continue until 3rd October 2025). Alternative route is via: St Andrews Street, Exchange Street and Bedford Street.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
