What is happening?
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 THE DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL
(A382 GREY- COAT LANE IMPROVEMENTS) (SIDE ROADS)
ORDER 2023
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on 11 August 2025 she has confirmed the above Order, with modifications, which was made by Devon County Council under section 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 and which, as confirmed, authorises the Council to –
(a) Improve a side road; and
(b) Stop up private means of access to premises; and
(c) Construct a new private means of access to premises all on or in the vicinity of the route of the A382, Newton Abbot which the Council are proposing to improve between Trago Mills Roundabout and Forches Cross.
Copies of the Order and of the relevant plans may be inspected for free of charge during opening hours from:
• Devon County Council, Main Reception, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2 4QD
• Teignbridge District Council, Forde House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX
Electronic copies are available on request by email to legal.legalconveyancinginstructions-mailbox@devon. gov.uk or in writing to Legal Services (G03), County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2 4QD quoting the Order title.
Any person aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of any provision within the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 28 August 2025, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
