Leiston – Temporary Road Closures for Utility Works
What is happening?
Sizewell C (Nuclear Generating Station)
Order 2022/853 – Article 19
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF B1122 ABBEY ROAD
[1] AND PART OF LOVER’S LANE, LEISTON
SIZEWELL C (Nuclear Generating Station) intends to make an order closing ABBEY ROAD, LEISTON for approximately 400m to the north and for approximately 150m to the south of its junction with Lover’s Lane. LOVER’S LANE will also be closed for approximately 280m from the junction with B1122 Abbey Road.
The closure is to facilitate utility works. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route for Abbey Road will be A12, A1094 and B1069 and vice versa.
The diversion route for Lover’s Lane will be King George’s Avenue, Cross Street, B1069 and B1122 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate between the hours of 8pm to 5am for the following dates:
08/09/2025 to 12/09/2025.
15/09/2025 to 19/09/2025.
22/09/2025 to 12/10/2025.
