ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council has made the above Order under Sections 32, 35 to 39 and 45 to 55 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order is to designate parking places restricting use at all times for electric vehicles only i.e solely battery powered or hybrid – connected to and using charging equipment located adjacent to the parking place on the highway and as specified in the Schedule below. A COPY of the Order may be inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX at a time and date specified by appointment only by calling 01604 529700.
A copy of the Order can also be obtained on request by emailing NNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose. The Order will become effective on 25th August 2025.

SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC VEHICLE RECHARGING ONLY PARKING PLACES
‘8AM-6PM 4 HOURS NO RETURN WITHIN 1 HOUR’ AND
‘ELECTRIC VEHICLE RECHARGING ONLY AT ALL OTHER TIMES’
Bath Road, Kettering – Starting from a point 4.3 metres from the junction with Vermont Standing for a distance of 11 metres in a southerly direction. Hove Street, Corby – Starting from a point outside properties number 72 to 84 Hove Street at the junction with Greenhill Rise for a distance of 11 metres in a north westerly direction.
Roundhill Road, Kettering – Starting from a point at the crossroads with Garfield Street at the termination of the double yellow lines adjacent to St Michaels and All Angels Church for a distance of 11 metres in an easterly direction.
Shelley Road, Wellingborough – Starting from a point 5 metres from the junction with Shelley Road (towards junction leading to Greenlaw and Brentford) outside properties 292 and 290 Shelley Road for a distance of 11 metres in an easterly direction.
Weekley Glebe Road, Kettering – Starting from a point from the double yellow lines within the parking bays outside the flats, adjacent to The Kettering Buccleuch Academy for a distance of 11 metres in an easterly direction.
