Buckinghamshire – Multiple Temporary Road and Footpath Closures
What is happening?
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL
THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE
(Nags Head Ln, Great Missenden) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Nags Head Ln for approx. 59M. Alternative route: Nags Head Ln, Nairdwood Ln, Green Ln, Martinsend Ln, Station Approach, High St, London Rd and back via Nags Head Ln.
The closure is required whilst Network Rail installation of Kee clamp fencing on both sides of the railway structure commences on 1 September 2025, as signed. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Church Ln, Radnage) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Church Ln for approx. 55M. Alternative route: Church Ln, Town End Rd, Bennett End Rd, Bottom Rd, Bloxborough Hill, Chinnor Rd, Wigans Ln, Radnage Ln and vice versa.
The closure is required whilst Thames Water defect works commence on 2 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 2 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Peterley Ln, Prestwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Peterley Ln for approx. 44M. Alternative route: Peterley Ln, Missenden Rd, Stag Ln, Copes Rd, Heath End Rd, Windsor Ln, Nags Head Ln and vice versa.
The closure is required whilst Thames Water works on a manhole commence on 20 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 20 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Honor End Ln, Prestwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Honor End ln for approx. 414M. Alternative route: Greenlands Ln, Hotley Bottom Ln, Moat Ln, Chequers Ln and vice versa.
The closure is required whilst Cityfibre cabling works commence on 8 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 8 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Bath Rd, Taplow) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Bath Rd for approx. 57M. Alternative route: A4, A308, A332, A355 and A4 and vice versa.
The closure is required whilst Network Rail bridge inspection works commence on 31 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 31 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
THE COUNCIL HAS MADE
(Public Footpath No. 107/2, Parish of Chesham) (Temporary Footpath) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of CHS FP 124/1 & 107/2 and continues northwest to approx. 75M.
Alternative route is to the side of the path where a temporary fence is provided to enable repairs to the surface and to Mill Leat Walls. The Order will come into operation on 8 August 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
