What is happening?
Essex County Council
(Stourdale Close, Lawford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stourdale Close, Lawford in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 75m north east than north west of its junction with Wignall Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th September 2025 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC310102WGQT7WD2 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
No diversion route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 22nd August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Maltings, Ramsey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Maltings, Ramsey in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 200m south of its junction with A120 for a distance of approximately 115m in a southerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th September 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034594976 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connections are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via A120, B1352, Oakley Road, B1414 and vice versa (with access only into Sparrows Corner, The Sidls, Hill Road and The Maltings).
The Order will come into effect on 22nd August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wix Road, Ramsey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wix Road, Ramsey in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Windmill Close for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th September 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30059466584 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Wix Road, The Street, Main Road, A120, Wix Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 22nd August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
