King Street And Church Street - Temporary Traffic Restrictions For Reinstatement Works
What is happening?

King Street and Church Street, Frome in the Parish of Frome (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2025
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions as specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 4th day of September 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 9th day of September 2025 until the 10th day of September 2025 (between 0800 hours and 1600 hours) to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement works. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.
Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles and residents requiring access and egress.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
