(Southbourne: Emsworth Show)
(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit waiting at any time on lengths of Thorney Road:
(i) west side, from the A259 Main Road southwards for a distance of 30m; and
(ii) east side, from the A259 Main Road southwards for a distance of 350m.
The Order will come into operation on 25 August 2025. The restrictions are needed to maintain the safe flow of traffic while the Emsworth Show is taking place and will be in place between 0800 and 1800 hours on 25 August 2025.
Any queries about the Traffic Management of the show should be directed to Emsworth Horticultural Society, telephone number 07795 076720. Any queries about the effect of the Order on traffic using the highway should be directed to WSCC Contact Centre, telephone number 01243 642105.

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made permanent Orders under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:
(i) introduce a 20mph speed limit on lengths of Chaffer Lane, Church Lane, Crooked Lane, Farne
Close, Farne Lane, Florence Close, Longmeadow Gardens, Martins Lane, The Saltings, Springfield Close and Westlands Lane, Birdham; and
(ii) introduce a 40mph speed limit on the B2147 Foxbury Lane, Westbourne from Cemetery Lane to Sheepwash Lane; and
(iii) introduce a 20mph speed limit on lengths of Charlton Mill Way, Charlton Road, East Dean Lane, Foxhall, Knights Hill and North Lane, Charlton; and
(iv) reduce the speed limit to 40mph on the length of the B2070 Portsmouth Road, Milland from the northern extent of the B2070 London Road dual carriageway north-eastwards to the Hampshire County boundary; and
(v) introduce a 30mph speed limit on the entire length of Westerton Lane and Richmond Road, Westerton.
The Orders will come into operation on 26 August 2025.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks from 21 August 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(20mph & 30mph Speed Limit) Order 202*
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce:
• a 20mph speed limit on lengths of Itchenor Road, The Street and Shipton Green Lane; and
• a 30mph speed limit on lengths of Itchenor Road and Shipton Green Lane.

(Bognor Regis: Various Roads) (Controlled Parking Zone Amendment) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to amend parking restrictions in the Bognor Regis Controlled Parking Zone as follows:
The Steyne: double yellow lines at pedestrian crossing points mid-way along the road;
Sudley Road: to allow residents’ and visitors permit holders to use an additional parking bay on the western side of the road and extend the length of a pay and display bay on the eastern side of the road;
John Street: to install double yellow lines on the northern side of the road at its eastern end. The Order also provides new bays for disabled persons’ blue badge holders at the southern end of Waterloo Square, at the southern end of West Street, at the eastern end of Aldwick Road (opposite the Royal Norfolk Hotel), the western side of Bedford Street, and on The Esplanade near its junction with Gloucester Road.
