Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) B3353 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Broadmead to its junction with Monks Lane to enable Openreach to carry out duct laying works and other associated works. Alternative route via B3353 (unaffected length) – Shaw Hill – Folly Lane – Bath Road – Wormwood – Bradford Road – Pickwick – B3353 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day. B) C270 (Part), Horningsham, Longbridge Deverill and Corsley; from its junction with Gentle Street to its junction with Longcombe Drive to enable air display event at Longleat Safari Park, closure of Heavens Gate access and road from 13:00 to 21:00 for ensuring public safety. Alternative route via C270 (unaffected length) – A362 – A36 – A350 – C54 – C281 – C270 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 13:00 and 21:00 until 14 September 2025. C) C218 (Part), Keevil; from its property known as No.74 High Street to its property known as Longleaze Farm to enable Wessex Water to carry out fire hydrant and associated works. Alternative route via C218 (unaffected length) – C233 – A361 – A350 – C19 – C218 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 2 days. D) Leigh Grove (Part), Bradford on Avon; from a point approximately 95m north west of its junction with B3105 for a distance of approximately 225m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry replacement of 3 poles and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 10 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day. E) Leafy Lane (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Thingley roundabout to its junction with Trencharth Avenue to enable Wessex Water to carry out water mains supply works and other associated works. Alternative route via Leafy Lane (unaffected length) – A4 – B3109 – Boxfields Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 31 October 2025. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6003600.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

F) Ruts Lane, West Lavington; from its junction with A360 to its junction with Stibb Hill to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out survey and associated works. Alternative route via Stibb Hill – Duck Street – A360 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 21 August 2025. G) Cottles Lane, Winsley; from its junction with C391 to its junction with C230 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out core samples and associated works. Alternative route via C230 – C391 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. H) Bowerhill Lane, Melksham Without; from its junction with A365 for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out core drilling in carriageway and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. I) Back Lane (Part), Chitterne; from its junction with C22 for a distance of approximately 115m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Internet to carry out excavate hole to receive the rural meet up. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025 and the closure will be required for 5 days. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

Phase 1: A361 (Part) Westbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with West Ashton Road to its roundabout junction with Longfield Road.

Phase 2: A361 (Part) Eastbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with Longfield Road to its roundabout junction with West Ashton Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway surfacing and associated works.

Alternative route via A361 (unaffected length) – A350 – A363 – A361 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 on weeknights only until 18 September 2025. The phases will run consecutively.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

C360 (Part), Warminster; from its junction with George Street to its junction with Deverill Road.

And to temporarily suspend the existing One Way Order on Emwell Street to allow access for residents and businesses to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works.

Alternative route via C360 (unaffected length) – B3414 and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 weekdays only until 05 September 2025. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.

Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
