ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14
(HACKING LANE, SOUTH ELMSALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 246) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds cable overlay to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hacking Lane, South Elmsall for approximately 400 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hacking Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Chapel Lane, High Street, Field Lane, Belmont Way, Valley View, Belmont Way, Valley Avenue & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 25th August 2025 to 22nd September 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(TUN LANE, SOUTH HIENDLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 248) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install telecoms cable to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Tun Lane, South Hiendley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Tun Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kirkgate Lane, George Street, Tun Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th August 2025 to 1st September 2025 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BEACON VIEW, SOUTH KIRKBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 250) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds sewer re rounding to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Beacon View, South Kirkby for approximately 60 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Beacon View.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Beacon View, Carr Lane, Wentworth Drive, Carr View, Beacon View & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th August 2025 at 09.00 hours to 28th August 2025 at 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BACK WESLEY STREET, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 254) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out telecoms upgrade works to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Back Wesley Street, Castleford from entrance to car park to the junction with Wesley Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Back Wesley Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Back Wesley Street, Bradley Street, St Oswald Street, Bank Street, Savile Road, Back Wesley Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th August 2025 at 08.00 hours to 23rd September 2025 at 23.59 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BRIERLEY ROAD, SOUTH HIENDLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 269) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to locate & clear blockages on existing Openreach network for the roll out of fibre to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Brierley Road, South Hiendley, opposite number 16 Brierley Road to near the junction of Hilltop on Frickley Bridge Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Brierley Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Brierley Road, High Street, Robin Lane, Barnsley Road and then Barewell Hill, Barnsley Road and Frickley Bridge Lane in Barnsley.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th September 2025 to 10th September 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
