What is happening?

RESTRICTIONS AND ON STREET PARKING
PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016)
AMENDMENT NUMBER 5 ORDER 2025
HORSEFAIR, BROAD LANE AND
FINKLE STREET, PONTEFRACT

The Council of the City of Wakefield, in exercise of powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order, the effect of which in relation to Horsefair, Broad Lane and Finkle Street, Pontefract is to vary the Council of the City of Wakefield (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places)

(Consolidation Order 2016 by:-

1.  Introducing lengths Loading Only, Disabled Badge Holders Only, No Waiting At Any Time, No Stopping (except Taxis) Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 1 hour no return within 1 hour, Buses Only At All Times, Pay and Display Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 1 hour no return within 1 hour on all or parts of the following roads:-
HORSEFAIR                
BROAD LANE
FINKLE STREET

The Order comes into force on the 25th August 2025. A copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed via the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made (i.e. 18th August 2025) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
