Higher Swell - Temporary Road Closure To Fibre Cable Connection And Installation

Temporary Closure of Higher Swell
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Higher Swell - from 810 metres south of the junction with Langport Road, south-westwards for a total distance of 385 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out fibre cable connection and installation.
The Order becomes effective on 4th September 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 8th September 2025 and last until 19th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
