Sherborne Road - Temporary Road Closure For Tree Cutting Works

Temporary Closure of Sherborne Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Sherborne Road - from the junction with Pitfield Corner, north-westwards for a total distance of 706 metres.
This Order will enable Ground Control to carry out tree cutting works on behalf of SSE.
The Order becomes effective on 4th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 9th September 2025 and last until 9th September 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
